Ambulance & patient transport

Before you begin

Please have the following ready before starting your video call:

  • Patient eligibility: Ensure your patient meets clinical intake guidelines by reviewing the Ambulance Victoria Clinical Guidelines or the Inclusion and Exclusion Criteria for all other patient transport services.
  • Technology check: Ensure your device has a working camera, microphone and a stable internet connection. Use a quiet, private area to protect the patient’s privacy during the call.
  • Patient consent: Ensure you have the patient’s consent prior to accessing the service with the following statement:

You consent to your personal and/or health information being used by Ambulance Victoria for training and improvement purposes as well as sharing your information with other health services if required for your ongoing treatment and care. The collection and use of your information is governed by privacy laws.
