Welcome to the Virtual Emergency Department. We provide care for urgent health concerns that are not life-threatening. Video call with emergency doctors and nurses using your phone, tablet or computer. It’s free and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

  • Anyone in Victoria (including visitors) with an urgent health concern that is not life-threatening.

What you need for your video call

  • Phone, tablet or computer with a working camera
  • Reliable internet connection
  • Quiet, private place to talk.

Note: You do not need an appointment, GP referral or Medicare card. If you prefer to speak in your own language, ask for a free interpreter when you register. You can also register on behalf of someone else.
